"To know what is right and not do it is the worst cowardice." ~Confucius

"Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that's right is to get by, and the only thing that's wrong is to get caught." ~J.C. Watts

"What is right is often forgotten by what is convenient." ~Bodie Thoene, Warsaw Requiem

"I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man." ~George Washington

“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”~ Winston Churchill

You know how on Facebook every so often you see posts from that day a few years back; recently the post that popped up was this: "I wouldn't trade the "lean" times for all the rich times put together. I think it so important for families to go through hard times so children can witness resolve and decisive joy from their parents, that way when the children are grown and going through hard times of their own they will remember the strength of joy." "Your life may be the only Bible some people read."  ~Author Unknown Our parents, they build the foundation of who their children will be when they become adults.  But with that foundation comes b

"I think that if people are instructed about anything, it should be about the nature of cruelty. And about why people behave so cruelly to each other. And what kind of satisfactions they derive from it. And why there is always a cost, and a price to be paid."~Richard Russo I came upon an submission here on D.A., of Linda Carter as Wonder Woman, I think it was a photo-manipulation.  It wouldn't normally have caught my attention, outside my taste as it was, except it was her face and shoulders added to a naked body down to the waist.  I adore D.A., I think it's a highly inspiring and lively site where artists of all inclinations can express th

If you haven't seen this documentary, about self-taught inventor, engineer, architect, social-planner, and futurist Jacque Fresco. Do you think our societies could be better? Are you ever concerned about the environment? Is how we are now the best we can be? Please watch this documentary (I believe its' on Netflix right now), think realistically when you do, and comment here after
